History and Future

Lisle-Metrix and Versatile Measuring Instruments have been designing and manufacturing highly reliable components for the North American nuclear power industry for more than 50 years.

Over the past five years the companies have experienced significant growth in the nuclear market, as management leveraged its legacy nuclear component manufacturing into engineering and qualification services for the industry. The company is a recognized leader in Risk Management in two key areas of nuclear plant operation: Component Obsolescence and Counterfeit Components.

The Group has positioned itself to provide an integrated solution for the nuclear market’s needs, including nuclear plant engineering, risk management, product design, product qualification, product manufacturing, commercial grade dedication, procurement services and training.

Management sees Quality Assurance as the key to our success and continued growth. Management’s philosophy is that “We are a quality company that just happens to make things”.

Through the years, we have implemented the entire spectrum of Canadian and American Quality Assurance programs, including 10CFR50 App. B, NQA-1, CANZ299.2, as well as applicable parts of N286.1, N286.2 and 17025.

Our team of professionals have been pulled from the industry with experience in a variety of engineering disciplines, quality and procurement. We are also actively involved with a number of industry associations, including NUOG (Vendor Advisory Committee), NQA1 (Subcommittee on Assessment and Verification), EPRI (contributor to Counterfeit Guideline 1019163), USA, NIAC, OCI,  CAN, RAPID, ASME and OSA.
